Unlike its bigger brother, the Dynaco ST-70, the Dynaco ST-35 produced 17 1/2 watts per channel(half of the ST-70). The ST-35 is the rarest of the Dynaco tube audio equipment, and is very difficult to find.
The Dynaco ST-35 is a very special amplifier because of its very small size, and fantastic sound which it produced in spite of its small size. It measured 13 in(L) X 5 in(W) X 4 in(H). For a small amplifier it weighed a lot - 16 pounds. This is exactly one-half the weight of a Dynaco ST-70. This was due to its power supply transformer, and the two output transformers(heavy iron).
The ST-35 became famous amongst the audiophiles for its fantastic iron. The output transformers were the famous Z 565. Some people believe that this iron was the very best that Dynaco ever produced. Some believe that the transformers were even better than the famous A 470(454326) transformers in the Dynaco ST-70. Like the output transformers in the ST-70, the ST-35 output transformers are also ultralinear. This means part of the primary winding on the output transformers is taped to the EL84 output tubes. The output transformers have taps at 8 ohms and 16 ohms. Considering the ST-35’s small size, it is amazing at the sound that this amp can produce. The ST-35 is equally as comfortable running as a bookshelf amplifier driving bookshelf speakers, as it is working as a living room amplifier driving large living room speakers.
The power supply of the ST-35 is solid state (two silicon diodes). This is very different than the ST-70 which uses a vacuum tube 5AR4/GZ34 rectifier(although the tube bias uses a selenium rectifier).

Due to the age of this device and the uncertain nature of vintage electronics, this equipment is being sold AS IS with no returns or adjustments. This is NOT a new component.
As such, it does not come with any guarantee-- implied or written. Vintage audio equipment is sensitive and does not travel particularly well. So in rare instances, that which was working 100% at my house may require adjustment or servicing before working equally well at yours. Most on-line sales of vintage electronics happen under these exact same conditions—but I just wanted to point this out so there are no misunderstandings or disappointments.

I can ship ONLY to your eBay-listed address. If you want it sent elsewhere, you will (prior to purchase), need to go into your settings and change your address—at least temporarily. Generally, I send domestic orders via FedEx. If the order value is over 0, I provide the insurance. But here’s the thing: Insured FedEx packages sent through eBay MUST be signed for by SOMEBODY at the recipients address.
Numerous times, I’ve contacted FedEx on a buyer’s behalf after three failed deliveries, requesting that the buyer be permitted to pick up the package at a nearby FedEx location. Spoiler Alert: They will NOT allow this. It is apparently part of the agreement between eBay and FedEx involving insured packages where the Fed Ex label is purchased through eBay. If this happens, the package will eventually be returned to me, whereupon I will resend it only after being reimbursed by the buyer for the second label. If you wish to cancel at that point, all costs I’ve incurred incidental to the failed shipment will be deducted from any eventual refund. So please—if the value of the item exceeds 0, do not order unless you’re absolutely sure SOMEBODY can be at your address to sign for it at least one of three times Fed Ex will attempt to deliver it.
International Buyers:
I often get questions along the lines of “do you ship to Kazakhstan, and how much?” The answer: I ship anywhere that e-Bay’s International shipping permits. Most of the time, residents of a given country can get that information by clicking the “Shipping and Payments” tab more easily and accurately than I can. Although most sellers of high-dollar electronics do not ship internationally, I’ve never had any significant problems doing so, and rather enjoy communicating and dealing with non-US buyers.
Due to differences in electrical current and so forth, this item is not guaranteed to work outside the US, and if shipped overseas, is sold strictly AS-IS.
